1992生於台北，2014畢業於英國倫敦藝術大學聖馬丁學院藝術評論、媒體、策展學士，2019瑞士蘇黎世大學藝術市場研究碩士，嚴仲唐從小於書香家庭中耳濡目染，由零歲藝術教育啟蒙起汲取豐富的藝術養份。創作的開始於2002年，一系列的抽象紙本水彩作品，從此培養創作習慣。他的抽象創作主要描繪思緒、情感與肉眼所無法觀看的情緒與感受，因為他相信色彩最原始的悸動不需邏輯與語言，即可以最直白的感受接收創作所要表達的意念與意象。他的創作靈感源於音樂、哲學、文學、宗教、科學、思考過程、以及各種元素的關聯。

藝術家自述：
理性是線條，感性是顏色，髮絲如思緒
腦細胞遊走現實虛無
如煙雲稍縱即逝
乍現的曙光幽隱
存在與不存在的過去
永恆的未來，在地平線外，無聲的等待
Working and living in Taiwan and Switzerland, Yen’s artistic practice includes mainly photography and abstract
painting. The photographic works taken by his iPhone on view are from his series titled: “Marks of Our Time” in
which he started in 2019. The series first started in Taiwan where the artist didn’t travel for more than 2 years,
then expanded to Europe since June 2022. This series, now amassing more than 500 images of discarded and
lost facial masks, serves as a diary of the artist during the pandemic and traces of psychogeography in the
world. In a world where the collective consciousness has been suffering and in mourning, what have the people
learned? This is among many of the questions that the artist wanted to raise, implementing the style similar to
Bernd & Hilla Becher’s thematic iconic approach to photography by taxonomy, Yen’s ongoing “Marks of Our
Time” series also rely on the element of chance.

reminder to beauty, its inevitable decay and the ultimate return to religion, something we hold true to ourselves.”

Yen’s tableau mainly depicts thoughts, emotions, sentiments and ambiances that are undetectable by the
naked eye. For he believes that the rawest poignancy of colors requires no logic or language, which can be
directly perceived to interpret the intended meaning and purposes. His source of inspiration came from an
eclectic range of traveling, music, philosophy, literature, religion, science, process of thinking and the
connection of various elements.
